Happy Friday Frisky Followers!

I can't keep it inside. Last night, after going bat shit stir crazy in my house (I'm adjusting to working from home) I called up my girl Linda and forced her and her husband (and later Jeremy) to meet me for a drink.  I then proceeded to order classic spicy chicken wings (confirmed to have been fried in canola oil) and a side of pretzel bites with fake cheese (these were FRIED by the way).  Let me just tell you that it was delicious and so were the 7 vodka soda's lol.

HOWEVER- I've never had a more clear example of my body giving me messages post fuck up.  I mean holy hell, the aftermath wrath people....the wrath...

I was doing so good on the 21 Day Sugar Detox and I'm sure Dianne would have some stern words for me right now! Dianne- what next? Start over?

You know what you do when this happens (after you shit water and try to untangle your intestines from the fork I mean)?  You pick your sorry ass up off the floor and MOVE ON.  Make the next decision you make about food a good one.

I'm obsessed with Dallas and Melissa's book "It Starts with Food."  A quote from the 1st chapter says "The food you eat either makes you more healthy or less healthy.  Those are your options."

Last night I chose the latter lol and I paid for it.

Here is a Paleo recipe from my non cheating self :)

Sauteed Kale with Walnuts:

2 bunches of  Kale (I wanted some for leftovers)

2 cloves garlic (chopped)

1/2 cup walnuts

5 tbsp EVOO

1 tbsp balsamic vingegar

Sautee for about 15 minutes or until tender.  I really like the texture that the walnuts add!

We love mixed grill night! Throw a bunch of meat on the grill, seasoned just how you like it and prepare for awesome lunches all week.  Trick here is to invest in a good digital meat thermometer so you can get the internal temp just right.
