Hey There Pretty People!

Happy Tuesday :) Hope you all had a great 3 day weekend! This is another post for miss Sammy Davis. Ditch the bread, bread is dead, we hate bread. Now WTF are you gonna make a sandwich with?! Enter wrap. Here are some of my favorite that's I've created over time. They're better for you, portable and delicious!

Start with Romaine lettuce. Buy it by the truckload and always have it around.

The "Salad Wraps":

  • Tuna Salad Lettuce Wrap

Open up a can of tuna, chop up some red onion, pickles and capers (if you're a freak like me). You'll need an avocado and about 4 tbsp of mustard. This will take the place of the mayo (use paleo mayo if it's laying around). Salt and pepper- wrap it up in romaine. I like to add sprouts or kraut to this as well for a topper.

  • Chicken, Cashew and Arugula Salad Lettuce Wrap

This one is great when you have some leftover chicken. I also recommend that each week you cook up a pack of chicken to have for various meals (Jer just likes sliced breasts with salsa!). Dice up the chicken, add the mustard and avo like above or use Paleo mayo. Chop up some cashews and add salt and pepper. This one is excellent with sliced grape tomatoes. Top with arugula and wrap it up in romaine or butter lettuce cups.

  • Zippy Egg Salad Lettuce Wrap

Holy hell I love hard boiled eggs. I recommend to just boil a dozen and cook with a dozen throughout the week so you can have amazingness like this. Chop up 3 HB eggs, add olives, pickles, red onion, celery and cayenne. This recipe is better with paleo mayo but if you don't have it, try equal parts EVOO, avocado and mustard. GOOD mustard, like the kind that's 6 bucks a jar, just do it. Wrap the mixture up in romaine or green cabbage and consume!

  • Curry Steak Salad Lettuce Wrap

Made with leftover steak, this wrap is a pleaser. Make sure you dice up whatever meat you have really finely. Add red onion avocado and mustard. If you have some good BBQ sauce it plays nicely with the mustard. Add 1 tsp of curry and some salt and pepper, wrap it up, top with cilantro and go!

Other Wraps:

  • Spicy Asian Ground Beef Lettuce

Use some ground beef or buffalo. Throw it in a pan to reheat, add coconut aminos, green onion and a dash of fish sauce. Top with Sriracha and sprouts and serve in butter lettuce cups.

  • Shredded pork tacos

I'm a huge fan of crock pot carnitas tacos do don't discount these babies for lunch! Try buying a larger pork butt. 5 or 6 lbs will give you plenty of leftovers. Top with cilantro, salsa, avocado and lime.

  • The Best BLT

You'll need to cook bacon for this one but it's worth it! Cut 4 pieces of bacon in half (horizontally) and create lattice pattern and bake to 20 minutes. Slice some beautiful ripe tomatoes, salt and pepper and top with organic field greens. The bacon is like a flat taco base for a BLT!!
