Paleo Shrimp Tacos
Ingredients
- frozen shrimp - 1 bag (about 1.5 lbs)- rinse to thaw
- cloves garlic - 2
- ghee (or fat of choice) - 2 tbsp
- shredded green cabbage - 2 cups
- shredded red cabbage - 1 cup
- apple cider vinegar - 3 tbsp
- red pepper flakes - 1 tsp
- cumin - 2 tsp
- fajita seasoning - 1 tbsp
- Small handful cilantro - chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- limes - 2
- Couple scoops fresh salsa
- avocado - 1/2 sliced
- Coconut Flour Tortillas or lettuce wrap
Instructions
- Chop the cabbage, cilantro and lime and combine in a bowl. Add the vinegar, salt and pepper and put in the fridge to chill.
- Melt the butter and garlic in a pan and add the shrimp.
- Season with red pepper flakes, cumin, fajita seasoning, lime juice and salt and pep.
- Allow them to sautee for about 7 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK THEM! Just as the pink fades pull em!
- Place the shrimp in a coconut flour tortilla, top with cabbage and salsa and avo and BOOM, yum time- Paleo style!

Here is a recipe for super simple Paleo shrimp tacos. Get creative and fill them with anything your heart desires. You can have shrimp tacos, beef tacos, chicken tacos, any kind of taco! Just use a lettuce wrap or coconut flour tortillas, proper Mexican seasonings and voila. Taco time!

Lauren I NEED you to show me how to make those tortillas! Casey and I tried once and ended up with a coconut blob that ate the whole kitchen!!! HAHAHA
Anytime!! We should do dinner one night next week! Maybe we could do Carnitas!? There’s really not much to them, I did find out however, that however much coconut oil you use will get absorbed into the “tortilla” so it’s good to go easy on that. xoxooxo
