Greetings Pretty People!

Today I'm sharing with you- the FAB Five. These are my 5 favorite make-ahead, go-to recipes that I consider my "core." This basically means I usually have some of these ingredients laying around the house (like sauces or frozen leftovers) or they're easy to make in bulk and freeze for later use. This goes out to all my CrossFit Pandora's Box Lurong Paleo Challenge Peeps!

1. Lauren's Famous Spaghetti

Tips for this dish- buy spaghetti squash when it's on sale. Cook 2 in 2 different baking dishes at the same time (this will take over an hour), scoop out the "noodles" and freeze. Also- double the recipe for the meat sauce to freeze half to have on hand. I swear this meal gets better with time! Next thing you know after a busy day, you pull this stuff out of the fridge give it some fresh ground pepper and ghee and you're good to go!

2. Stir Fry with Cauliflower Rice

Tips for this dish- Buy cauliflower when it's on sale. You can steam 2 heads at once in a large pot and it freezes really well. Stir fry can literally be any type of meat with any type of veggie. I usually end up throwing the weirdest stuff in the wok and it always turns out so great! The key here is to remember the basics of a stir fry and then get creative: garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, some type of onion and coconut oil as a base.

3. Stuffed Chicken Breast

Tips for this dish- Chicken breasts are always on sale somewhere. Make sure you choose pasture raised and stock up. You can stuff chicken with just about anything. Ham and collard greens, bacon and caramelized onions, turkey and mustard; you name it! Simply defrost, stuff and bake or you can stuff them all and freeze them and defrost when you're ready to eat,

4. Sausage Throw Together Skillet

Tips for this dish- Again, stock up on sausage when it's on sale. This dish can be as easy as onion, bell pep and sausage. You can get creative with the veggies, this is also great served over cauliflower rice.

5. Carnitas Tacos

Tip for this dish- Buy two 4 or 5 lb pork butts and double the recipe above. You can freeze the shredded pork and when you're ready- defrost and toss lightly in bacon grease and broil so you get that nice crunchy, fatty meat yumminess.

Lauren
