It occurred to me recently that I love smoothies but rarely remember to post my recipes. I've decided to build you The Ultimate Paleo Smoothie Guide so you can make ANY smoothie and have all the perfect ratios regardless of the ingredients you're using! Boom sauce, let's make some damn smoothies already!
Ingredients
- Base Liquid - 1/4 cup
- Almond Milk
- Coconut Milk
- Apple Juice
- Orange Juice
- Pomegranate Juice
- Pineapple Juice
- Coconut Water
- Fruit (Fresh or Frozen)
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Raspberries
- Apples
- Mango
- Pineapple
- Peeled Oranges
- Kiwi
- Peaches
- Pitted Cherries
- Pomegranate Seeds
- Cooked Beets
- Grapes
- Melon
- Greens
- Spinach
- Kale
- Beet Greens
- Collards
- Bok Choy
- Swiss Chard
- Turnip Greens
- Romaine, Red or Green Leaf Lettuce
- Thickener
- Almond Butter
- Banana
- Avocado
- Ice
- Raw, Grass-Fed Greek Yogurt
- Other Delicious Add Ons
- Ginger
- Lemon or Lime Juice
- Honey
- Flax Seeds
- Shredded Coconut
Instructions
Here's the ratio (use about 1 cup of each for one smoothie):
One part base liquid, one part fruit, one part thickener or ice, one part greens.
- Base Liquid (1/4 Cup)
- Fruit (Fresh or Frozen) - I like frozen fruit for my smoothies, they're typically frozen at peak ripeness, they cheap and they don't go bad as quickly as fresh fruit!
