30 Minute Meal-Paleo Pork Chops with Sauteed Pears and Onions
Happy Monday Marvelous Marauders!
(Sorry I love alliteration!) Today I’m sharing a simple and delicious recipe for pan seared (oven finished) Paleo pork chops with sauteed onions and pears and a kale, apple and cabbage salad with a light mustard vinaigrette. Lovely for a weeknight, this dish will take you about 30 minutes or less for the whole thing and the pork always turns out so juicy!
This dish also include Paleo Sautéed Pears and Onions & Paleo Kale and Apple Salad
Ingredients
- boneless pork chops (about 1.5 inches thick) - 2
- ghee - 3 tbsp
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450.
- Rinse and thoroughly dry the chops and don't salt and pepper them at this point. I've been doing some reading and I'm finding that salting meat before cooking can draw some of the moisture out. Not proven yet but not something I want to try with chops!
- Melt the ghee on medium heat in a stainless pan and place the pork chops in. DON'T TOUCH THEM! Let them sit for 5 or 6 minutes until they more or less release themselves from the pan (they can be nudged but you won't get that crunchy outer if you move them too early).
- Repeat on the other side and pop them in the oven in the same pan for about 10 minutes, watch the handle!!
- I use an instant read thermometer and like my chops at 155.
- Check them after 10 minutes in the oven to make sure they're at about 140-150 and let them sit under foil for another 15 minutes (the temp will rise 7-10 degrees right out of the oven).

Love the recipe and the picture of Lucy she looks identical to my Boxer Roxy! .. happy days
Made this for dinner! It was wonderful!!
can you freeze these? if so what do you suggest?
Hi! I found this recipe through Once A Month Meals and they suggest freezing the prepped ingredients before cooking. So I chopped the pear mixture and froze that separately from the raw chops and thawed before cooking day. We had this for dinner tonight. My 4yr old helped make the salad and LOVED it! That’s a big deal. He doesn’t typically like salads or greens so I bet this will become a regular for us!
What measurements do you suggest for the olive oil and apple cider vinegar. I know it says 3 t01 but doe that mean 3/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup vinegar or would it be better to do 3 tbs olive oil and 1 tbs vinegar?
Hi Andrea! Instead of a measurement I do a 3 count pour and a 1 count pour of each. Probably similar to 3 tbsp EVOO and 1 tbsp vinegar. Hope that helps!

At this moment I am ready to do my breakfast, when having
my breakfast coming again to read more news.
There are about 20 waterholes in this western part of Etosha of which about 11 are worth visiting as
the others are dry or have been closed. But here she sits,
in that same old kitchen, it is 2002 now, at the
same old table, the very one she had thirty-years ago, no-forty years ago
or so, she bought it ten-years before those two girls,

if it’s allright. Could it be just me or does it look like a
few of the comments come across as if they are written by brain dead individuals?
😛 And, if you are writing on additional sites, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post.
